Ashley Bozarth is an experienced professional with expertise in community and economic development. Currently serving as the Director of Network Engagement and Resources and Knowledge Manager at Purpose Built Communities since 2020, Ashley previously held the position of Community and Economic Development Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, where significant research on workforce development was conducted. Early career roles include being a Refugee Integration Planner and Researcher for the City of Clarkston and a Planning and Economic Development Intern at Central Atlanta Progress. Academically, Ashley earned a Master’s Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as education credentials from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology and French from the University of Georgia.

Purpose Built Communities

Purpose Built Communities is an organization that helps local leaders implement a comprehensive, long-term place-based redevelopment model with public and private partners in neighborhoods of concentrated urban poverty to create healthy, vibrant neighborhoods where all residents can thrive. It is a nonprofit consulting firm that offers its services free of charge. The Purpose Built Model includes mixed-income housing, a cradle-to-college education pipeline and community wellness programs and facilities in a defined neighborhood, coordinated by a dedicated, nonprofit community quarterback organization. There are now 16 Purpose Built Communities Network Members across the United States.
