Byju Sukumaran has extensive work experience in the field of user experience design. Byju started their career at the BBC in 1998 as a Senior User Experience Designer, where they worked until 2006. Byju then worked as a freelance Design Consultant before joining Reed Exhibitions in 2012 as a Senior User Experience Designer. At Reed Exhibitions, Byju introduced a customer-centric process and executed key projects that streamlined processes and reduced support costs. In 2016, they joined Virgin Holidays as a UX Design Strategy & Support professional, and later worked as a User Experience Design Consultant on a freelance and contract basis. In 2017, Byju joined Aventri as a Senior Manager, leading user experience efforts until 2022. Currently, they serve as the Lead Product Designer at Push Security, a position they started in 2022. Throughout their career, Byju has demonstrated their expertise in user experience design and has consistently contributed to enhancing customer value through their work.

Byju Sukumaran has a diverse education history. In 1987, they started attending the University of the Arts London, where they stayed until 1990. Although the degree and field of study are not specified, it can be assumed that they pursued a course related to arts or a similar field during this time. In 1996, they enrolled at the Arts Technology Centre (Artec) in London, where they focused on Interaction Design. Byju completed their studies in this field in 1997. In the same year, they also joined the Byam Shaw School of Art, again without a specified degree or field of study. Furthermore, in 1999, they attended The Media Academie in Hilversum, Holland, specializing in CIATV Interactive Concept Development, before finishing in 2000.
