Pre-college Spanish Teacher at Putney Student Travel

Elizabeth Ara Draper is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and program management. Currently serving as a Spanish teacher and ELA and Social Studies teacher at Collier County Public Schools since August 2017, Elizabeth focuses on integrating technology in the classroom, developing individualized student support plans, and fostering positive relationships with parents. Elizabeth also manages the Atlantis Project in Madrid, coordinating internships for pre-med students, and has taught pre-college Spanish through Putney Student Travel, emphasizing immersive learning experiences. Previous roles include Head Teacher at Chalmore Language Solutions, where Elizabeth directed a team of language trainers, and English teacher and cultural ambassador at Colegio La Cañada y San Juan Bautista. Elizabeth holds a Master's Degree in International and Comparative Education from Universidad de Alcalá and a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies and Spanish from Stetson University, complemented by various study abroad experiences.

Putney Student Travel

Since 1951, Putney Student Travel has offered high school and middle school students the opportunity and insight to shape their world through travel, unique cultural engagement, friendship, and fun. Our summer programs for teens include Service, Exploration, Language, Career, and Pre-College trips to 30+ countries around the world. We also collaborate with the Smithsonian to offer Smithsonian Student Travel; with National Geographic to offer National Geographic Student Travel; and with Harvard Chan C-CHANGE to offer Youth Summits on Climate, Equity, & Health.
