Ville Ranta

Ville Ranta has a strong background in finance and controlling, with experience in various industries. Ville started their career as a Summer Trainee at Kesko in 1992 and later worked as a Trainee, Financial Controller, and Controller at TeliaSonera from 2000 to 2007. Ville then joined Kemira as a Controller, responsible for cost allocations, budgeting, and SAP implementation. In 2009, they moved to Sinebrychoff as a Business Controller, overseeing finance professionals and focusing on product profitability, budgeting, and strategy support. From 2012 to 2016, Ville worked at Kesko - K-Group as a Corporate Business Controller, leading a team and handling group level reporting and forecasting. Ville joined Puuilo in 2016 as the Chief Financial Officer, where they played a key role in the company's growth, including listing it on the Nasdaq Helsinki mainlist.

Ville Ranta obtained their M.Sc (KTM) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Vaasa in 2004. In 2002, they participated in an Erasmus exchange program at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, focusing on Human Resource Management. In addition to their education, Ville Ranta has obtained certifications including "HHJ-tutkinto" from HHJ - Hyväksytty hallituksen jäsen and "Hallitustyöskentely -valmennus" from Boardman Oy, both in 2023.
