Mohammed Chahim

Europarlementiër (pvda/s&d) at PvdA

Mohammed Chahim serves as Vice-president of the S&D group at the European Parliament since April 2021, focusing on the European Green Deal. Concurrently, Chahim holds the position of Europarlementiër for PvdA/S&D, participating in the ENVI committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, and the D-IN delegation for relations with India, while also serving as a substitute in the ITRE committee on Industry, Research and Energy and the DARP delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula. Prior to these roles, Chahim was a member of the City Council in Helmond from March 2006 to September 2019 and held positions as a Research Scientist at TNO and a PhD candidate and lecturer at Tilburg University, specializing in Mathematical Economics and related fields. Chahim's academic background includes a Research Master and MSc in Economics and Econometrics from Tilburg University.
