Madeline Krakowsky

SVP, Consumer Marketing at PWX Solutions

Madeline Krakowsky has a diverse and extensive work experience in the publishing industry. Madeline started their career as the SVP, Director of Marketing, Circulation, and Customer Service at TFI (Thomson Financial Information) from 1989 to 1992, where they managed circulation, production, and distribution for seven publications. Madeline then worked as the Circulation Director at The New York Times Company from 1993 to 1997, overseeing custom publishing. Subsequently, they joined CMP Media, Inc. as the Subscription Director for Windows and HomePC Magazines, where they set strategies and directed customer acquisition and retention programs. Later, they became the Senior Circulation Director for InformationWeek at CMP Media, Inc. from 1998 to 2000.

In 2000, Madeline joined AOL Time Warner / Time Consumer Marketing as the Director of Partnership Marketing for Fortune and Business 2.0. Madeline launched customer acquisition programs through co-marketing deals with partners such as The Wall Street Journal, Comdex, Netscape, and Quicken.com. Madeline worked on structuring deals with 38 partners to test integrated offers and bundled packages.

From 2003 to 2008, they worked at Direct Marketing, Circulation & Partnerships as a Partnership Consultant. In this role, they collaborated with leading brands to generate new subscriptions through innovative co-marketing programs.

In 2005, Madeline founded What To Do Media, where they launched an upscale local guide book and managed all aspects of the quarterly publication, including editorial, marketing, sales, design, and production. Madeline successfully grew the publication to become the local leader in its field.

Madeline then joined Prometheus Global Media (Guggenheim Digital Media) in 2009 as the VP of Circulation. Madeline directed circulation strategies for The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, Adweek, and Backstage. During their time there, they led the department with a circulation revenue of $11 million and successfully renegotiated vendor contracts.

Since 2013, Madeline has been working at PWX Solutions, a PubWorX Company, in various senior roles. Madeline started as the Senior Consumer Marketing Director, responsible for the consumer marketing strategy for magazine publishing clients. Madeline then became the VP of Consumer Marketing, providing executive-level leadership, oversight, support, and strategic direction to the Consumer Marketing team. Currently, they hold the position of SVP of Consumer Marketing.

Madeline Krakowsky holds a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University at Albany, SUNY.
