Steven Maes

Steven Maes has a diverse work experience in the music and media industry. Steven started their career in 1993 as a Sound Engineer at VRT, where they worked until 2003. In 1994, they joined MotorMusic Studios as a Producer and Sound Engineer, specializing in classical music and immersive 3D audio productions. In 1999, they became a Lecturer at the RITCS School of Arts, where they taught until 1999. In 2007, they worked as a Videoregisseur at Evil Penguin. Since 2010, they have been working at PXL-Music, first as a Lecturer and later as a Senior Researcher. Their expertise lies in recording, mixing, and producing music, as well as researching and teaching in the field of music and media.

Steven Maes attended the RITCS School of Arts, where they pursued a bachelor's degree in beeld-geluid-montage. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Arts - MA degree with a specialization in sound design from the same institution.
