Anja Stirnweiss

Anja Stirnweiss has extensive work experience in various research and leadership roles. Anja started their career as a Research Assistant and PhD candidate at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research from 2004 to 2007. Anja then worked as a Research Officer at Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg from 2008 to 2012. In 2012, they joined the Telethon Kids Institute as a Research Officer and later became a Senior Research Officer from 2016 to 2016. Stirnweiss then moved to Phylogica Limited, where they worked as a Senior Scientist from 2017 to 2018 and later became a Principle Investigator from 2019 to 2019. Currently, they are employed at PYC Therapeutics as the Group Leader - Bioassay Development since August 2019 and as the Director of Biology since September 2020.

Anja Stirnweiss pursued their education in the field of Oncology and Cancer Biology, Immunology. From 1999 to 2004, they attended Technische Universität Braunschweig and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree with a focus on Diploma in Molecular Genetics. Following this, they continued their academic journey at the same institution, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from 2004 to 2007.
