Danie CHAMPAIN

Danie Champain's work experience began in 2000 as a Research Assistant in Proteomics and Biochemistry at Alzprotect. From 2002 to 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant in Proteomics, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology at GENFIT. Following this, in 2010, Champain completed a Clinical Research Engineer Internship at The University of Western Australia, where they focused on measuring plasma microparticles and C-reactive protein kinetics. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Research Officer at The University of Western Australia, specializing in lipoprotein metabolism and biomarkers in cardiovascular diseases. Currently, Champain is employed at PYC Therapeutics, starting in 2015 as a Research Scientist in Protein Expression and Engineering before transitioning to a Senior Scientist role in Pharmacology in June 2021.

Danie Champain's education history includes several degrees and diplomas in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmaceutical sciences, and biotechnology. Danie first attended Orion Higher Education Private School from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained an advanced diploma in biotechnology. Danie then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in pharmaceutical sciences and biology at the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology from 2000 to 2001. Danie furthered their education at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from 2005 to 2009. Lastly, they obtained an Engineer's diploma (Dipl. Ing.) in the same field from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers from 2009 to 2012.
