Richard Francis is an accomplished bioinformatician with extensive experience in preclinical bioinformatics and data analytics, currently serving as the Group Lead at PYC Therapeutics since July 2019. Richard's expertise encompasses RNA-Seq analyses, comparative genomics for species selection, and genomic diagnostics for clinical trials. Additionally, Richard holds a consultancy position with the European Respiratory Society, where a web-based calculator and API for the Global Lungs Initiative have been developed and maintained. Prior roles include leading the IT efforts and serving as Principal Investigator for the MINERvA Network, focusing on familial and environmental risks for autism, and contributing to computational diagnostics at the Telethon Kids Institute.
