Senior Software Engineer - Frontend at Pylon

James Billings has a strong work experience in software engineering, particularly in roles focused on user interface development.

James is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Pylon since April 2022.

Prior to this, James worked at Dental Intelligence Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer from June 2018 to May 2022. At Dental Intelligence, they led the implementation of a healthcare-based app store using micro frontend architecture that had compatibility across Web, Mobile, and Desktop.

From May 2013 to June 2018, James worked at Veritone, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer. James focused on re-architecting and scaling their existing user interface codebase, enabling the platform to support multiple applications for clients such as CNN, National Geographic, and Formula-E.

Before that, James was a Software Engineer at Veritone where they primarily worked on a media portal for Bloomberg news organization and was involved in various responsibilities such as creating functional requirement documentation, wireframing, prototyping, and building highly interactive JavaScript user interfaces.

James's earlier experience includes working as a Software Engineer at Content Formula from January 2010 to January 2012, where they contributed to various stages of project life-cycles and was involved in information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and JavaScript front-end user interfaces.

James also worked as a Software Engineer at Peter Hutchinson Designs Limited for a short contract period from June 2011 to October 2011. In this role, James designed and developed an application from the idea phase to a production application, with responsibilities including functional/non-functional requirement documents, information architecture, wireframing, and front-end and back-end development.

James Billings earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of the Arts London, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Human Computer Interaction at City, University of London, completing the program from 2010 to 2012.
