Russell Keith-Magee

Russell Keith-Magee is a highly experienced software engineer and technology leader, currently serving as Principal Software Engineer and Team Lead at Anaconda, Inc. since March 2022. As the founder of the BeeWare Project since July 2014, Russell has actively contributed to the open-source community, alongside a role as a CPython Triage Team Member for the Python Software Foundation from October 2023. Previous positions include Staff Software Engineer and Senior Data Engineer at Upwave, and a significant tenure at the Django Software Foundation as a core developer and president. Russell's extensive background also includes co-founding TradesCloud, strategic advisory at Hunted Media, and key engineering roles at Calytrix Technologies. Educationally, Russell holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, and a BSc in Physics, all from Curtin University.
