Lachin Fernando

Lachin Fernando is an accomplished machine learning professional with significant experience in various engineering roles. Currently serving as Associate Technical Lead of Machine Learning at AIClub since June 2022, Lachin has also gained valuable experience at Omdena from August 2021 to October 2022, where responsibilities included leading and executing machine learning projects focused on sustainability advisory and data analysis. Previous roles as a Junior Machine Learning Engineer involved projects such as text analysis and deep learning image classification aimed at enhancing production efficiency in the tea industry. Earlier experience as a Data Analyst at Fiverr, combined with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Management and mathematical modeling from Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, complements Lachin's technical skills in data preprocessing, analysis, and modeling. Additional education through CIMA has further enriched Lachin's analytical expertise.
