John Chisholm has a long and varied work experience. In 2015, they became an Author for "Unleash Your Inner Company: Use Passion & Perseverance to Build Your Ideal Business" and a Member of the MIT Corporation (board of trustees). John also became Chairman & President of the Worldwide MIT Alumni Association. Prior to this, John Chisholm was the CEO of John Chisholm Ventures from 2009, a Columnist for Forbes Magazine from 2013, a Trustee of the Santa Fe Institute from 2010, Co-Founder of Pyze Inc. from 2013, and Chair of the MIT Club of Northern California from 2006. In 2008, they were Executive VP & General Manager at MarketTools and, prior to this, Founder, Chairman & CEO of CustomerSat, Inc. from 1997.

John Chisholm began their educational journey at Jupiter High School. John then attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (EE/CS) in 1976. John continued their studies at MIT, earning a Master of Science in EE/CS in 1976. John also earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1978.
