Sen Ma has been working in the field of computational science and MRI science since 2012. Sen began their career as an undergraduate research assistant at Tsinghua University, where they worked on EEG signal classification based on face familiarity. Sen also worked as a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they accelerated the acquisition of 4D flow imaging by exploiting the similarity of temporal subspaces of three spatial directions.
In 2015, Sen Ma obtained their Masters degree from UCLA and then worked as a visiting graduate student at Cedars-Sinai, where they developed advanced reconstruction methods for various MRI applications. In 2016, they returned to UCLA to pursue their PhD, where they continued to work in Dr. Debiao Li Group at Biomedical Imaging Research Institute, Cedars-Sinai and focused on developing advanced reconstruction methods for various MRI applications.
In 2020, Sen Ma was a postdoctoral research scientist at Cedars-Sinai and in 2021, they began working as a Senior Computational Science Engineer/Senior MRI Scientist and Computational Science Engineer/MRI Scientist at Q Bio.
Sen Ma began their educational journey at Beijing No.4 High School from 2008 to 2011. Sen then attended Tsinghua University where they earned their Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2011 to 2015. Ma continued their studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they earned their Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2016. Finally, Ma completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2020.
