Kimmo Hakala

Kimmo Hakala is an experienced professional in software consulting and quality assurance, currently serving as Senior Consultant & Team Lead at Q-Factory Oy since November 2018. With a long-standing involvement in the Finnish Software Testing Board FiSTB, Kimmo has held the roles of Chairman and Vice Chairman, contributing to ISTQB® development efforts. Previous roles include Senior Manager of Component QA at Qvantel, where leadership of product quality assurance teams was paramount, and Quality Manager/QA Lead at ISTQB. Kimmo also has extensive experience in B2B consulting, project management, and software testing across multiple organizations, starting as a Test Engineer at Cybercom Group in 2000. Educational credentials include a Master's Degree in Business Information Management from Tampere University of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences.
