Damir Butmir has worked in the software industry since 2011. Damir began their career as a Software QA Engineer at Nokia, where they worked with developers and other cross-functional teams throughout the software development life cycle. In 2012, they moved to the Government of Canada as an Intergovernmental Affairs Liaison, where they worked on projects funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. In 2014, they joined Mistral Technologies as a Senior QA Engineer, where they worked with Design and Development teams and was responsible for process gap identification and definition. In 2015, they joined QAEngineers.net as the Chief Technology Officer, where they coordinated a team of over 30 Software QA Engineers. Finally, they were a Lead QA Engineer at Ubuntu from 2011 to 2014, where they created detailed, comprehensive and well-structured plans and test cases for quality specifications.

Damir Butmir attended the University of Ottawa from 2008 to 2012. Damir holds certifications as a Certified Software QA Engineer from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board, is an IEEE Member, and is a QA Team Lead at Ubuntu.
