Newton Freire Montezuma

Newton Freire Montezuma is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy sector with extensive experience in construction and project management, particularly in wind energy. Currently serving as the Construction and Project Manager at Qair Group since July 2019, Newton previously worked as the Construction Manager for EDF Renewable Energy, overseeing the implementation of all wind complexes in Brazil. Newton's career also includes significant roles at Queiroz Galvão Energia and Suzlon Wind Energy A/S, where responsibilities encompassed the development, construction, and commissioning of wind farms. Newton holds a civil engineering degree from the Federal University of Ceará, an MBA in project management from Fundação Getulio Vargas, and a specialization in wind power from UFRN.
