Mark Cameron

Mark Cameron has extensive experience in the aviation industry, currently serving as Head of Safety for Qantas Airways and Freight since April 2012. In this role, Mark oversees safety, security, compliance, and sustainability initiatives, holding CASA-approved positions as Safety Manager and alternate Accountable Manager for both Qantas Airways and Express Freighters Australia. Additionally, Mark is the Vice Chair of the IATA Operations Advisory Council and has contributed to various leadership roles in safety and compliance across the Qantas Group. Prior pilot experience includes flying A321, A330, and A380 aircraft, with a career spanning several airlines, including Jetstar Airways, Cathay Pacific, and British Airways. Mark holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from the University of Technology Sydney and is a Chartered Accountant.
