Neil Smith

Neil Smith is an experienced aviation professional with a diverse background in safety, compliance, and project management. Currently serving as Cabin Fleet Manager and Manager of Safety and Compliance Programs at Qantas Airways since November 2013, Neil coordinates safety initiatives and governance for the Office of the CEO. Prior to this role, Neil was the AOC Program Manager at Jetstar Airways, where responsibilities included developing an operational framework for regulatory approvals. Neil's earlier positions at Qantas included Manager of Safety and Compliance Programs, Manager of Risk, and Project Manager for significant in-flight entertainment projects. Neil's experience also encompasses project management roles at Micromill Electronics and BAE SYSTEMS Avionics. Neil holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Portsmouth.
