Tom Sanft

Tom Sanft is an experienced aviation safety and operations professional with a strong background in safety assurance and management. Currently serving as the Strategic Project Lead for Ground Operations Improvement and Principal Assurance at Qantas since June 2023, Tom oversees the operational safety assurance program for all Qantas Group Airlines. Prior experience includes roles as Global Safety Manager at Swoop Aero, where Tom developed standardized drone operations in collaboration with aviation regulators, and Principal Advisor Safety Assurance at Jetstar Airways, responsible for audits and safety programs across various operational divisions. Tom's career also features roles at Southern Cross Jets, where Tom managed safety protocols and ground handling operations. Academic credentials include a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain and Logistics Management, a Diploma of Quality Auditing, and a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science (Aviation).
