Tom Scanlan

Tom Scanlan is a seasoned aviation professional with extensive experience in maintenance operations and technical management. Currently serving as the Manager of Maintenance Operations Control at Qantas since November 2025, Tom previously held the role of Manager Technical Operations at Network Aviation and Manager Maintenance Operations & Planning Group. Prior to that, Tom worked at Jetstar Airways in various positions, including Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and 2IC, accumulating over a decade of hands-on experience. Tom has advanced academic qualifications, including a Master of Business Administration from RMIT University and a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration with Distinction. Additionally, Tom holds a Diploma of Aeroskills in Mechanical from TAFE NSW.
