Chris Paykel is an experienced professional with a significant background in the airline and travel industries. Currently serving as the Country Manager for Qatar Airways in New Zealand and an Executive Board Member at the Board of Airline Representatives New Zealand Inc. (BARNZ), Chris plays a crucial role in rebuilding New Zealand’s air transport network post-COVID. As Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Joyce Fisher Charitable Trust, Chris oversees various charitable initiatives, while also contributing as a trustee for the Ipipiri Nature Conservatory Trust and as a member of the executive committee for the New Zealand Middle East Business Council. Previous experience includes key positions at Emirates and Carlson Wagonlit Travel, where leadership and strategic management were paramount.
