David Mallon

David Mallon serves as the VP of Data Protection, Risk and Compliance at Qatar Airways since March 2024. Previously, David held the position of Group Data Protection Officer at Clydesdale Bank/Virgin Money from March 2018 to April 2024, and prior to that, David was the Head of Products, Legal & Governance at Clydesdale Bank plc. David’s extensive legal experience includes roles at National Australia Group Europe Limited, where responsibilities ranged from providing legal advice across various business sectors to overseeing commercial contracts and strategic projects. David began a legal career at MacRoberts and has also worked in telecommunications and social security law. Educational qualifications include an LLB from the University of Strathclyde, a Post Graduate Diploma in EU Competition Law from Kings College, and privacy certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
