Fiona Quan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in investment development and entrepreneurial leadership across various sectors. Currently serving at Qatar Free Zones Authority since February 2019, Fiona Quan manages strategic foreign direct investment in the Greater China Markets, achieving a high conversion rate in deal generation. Fiona Quan has held notable positions as the Founder and CEO of multiple companies, including Sheng Event Company, which organized Qatar's first Traditional Chinese Medicine Exhibition, and Amiri Group, which focuses on investment between Qatar and the Asia Pacific Regions. In addition, Fiona Quan has spearheaded initiatives aligned with the Belt and Road Initiative through Silk Road Doha Trading & Contracting W.L.L. and has made significant contributions to marketing and business development during tenure at Abdulaziz Jassim Exhibitions & Events. Founded in 2018 as an independent entity, Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) aims to support economic development and establish a cluster of world-class free zones in Qatar. We are responsible for setting the strategic direction and policy of the free zones, as well as securing anchor investments. The free zones will be fundamental pillars in enhancing economic development and attracting both foreign and domestic investment in Qatar. We want to stimulate the national economy through a vibrant and self-sustaining business ecosystem, based on transparency and the rule of law. Qatar Free Zones current cluster consist of Ras Boufantas (airport free zone) and Umm AlHoul (port free zone).
