Sami Akel

Sami Akel has extensive work experience in IT operations and management. Sami started their career in 2002 with the Doha Asian Games Organizing Committee, where they worked as an IT Expert and was responsible for developing and implementing IT infrastructure, policies, and systems. Sami then worked as an Information Technology Consultant for various organizations, including the National Human Rights Committee and the Family Consulting Center, where they oversaw IT deployment projects and managed website design and infrastructure. Sami also worked as an IT Technical Consultant for the Central Municipal Council and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, where they were responsible for delivering reliable and resilient IT infrastructure and managing outsourcing projects. In 2018, they joined Qatar Museums as a Senior Expert-IT Operations. Overall, Sami Akel has a strong background in IT project management, infrastructure design, and system implementation.

Sami Akel received a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Management Information Systems Technology from National University-San Diego California. This educational experience took place from 1992 to 1995.
