Alwaleed Alkhaja

Alwaleed Alkhaja has extensive experience in the fields of intellectual property and academic publishing, having served as the Head of Open Access and Copyright at Qatar National Library from March 2018 to March 2023. Prior to this role, Alkhaja worked as a Senior Intellectual Property Librarian at Hamad Bin Khalifa University from May 2013 to March 2018. In the publishing sector, Alkhaja held positions at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc as a Senior Editor and Commissioning Editor, and at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen as an Outreach and Development Editor. Alkhaja began a career in research as a Research Scientist at Dartmouth College and further honed expertise in molecular biology through education, holding an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School and PhDs from The University of Göttingen and the International Max Planck Research School for Molecular Biology.
