Rigan Elshimy

Rigan Elshimy is an experienced history researcher and librarian with a strong background in collections management and cataloguing. Currently serving as a History Researcher at Qatar National Library from August 2022 to November 2023, Rigan previously held roles such as Research Assistant at the Museum of Islamic Art and Special Collection Librarian at Academyati school - Qatar Foundation, where responsibilities included cataloguing Arabic and English books. Rigan's experience also includes serving as an assistant for the Islamic Manuscripts Symposium at UCL-Qatar and cataloguing Arabic books at the CHSS library - HBKU - Qatar Foundation. Rigan holds a Master of Library & Information Science from UCL - Qatar with a focus on Middle Eastern Librarianship and a Master's degree in Tour Guidance with a specialization in Islamic History from Alexandria University.
