Asma al Thani

Asma Al Thani currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Gender Equity Committee for the Olympic Council of Asia and as the Director of Marketing and International Cooperation Sector for the Qatar Olympic Committee since July 2015. In this role, Asma has been instrumental in leading the bid for the Asian Games Doha 2030 and spearheading a rebranding initiative for both the Qatar Olympic Committee and Team Qatar. Additionally, Asma holds positions as a Board Member for the FIBA Basketball World Cup - Doha 2027 and an Advisory Committee Member for the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic & Sport Museum. Other notable contributions include serving as a High Profile Supporter for UNHCR, participating in various organizing committees for international sports events, and holding memberships within the ANOC. Asma holds an Executive MBA focused on Innovation and Social Business from HEC Paris and an Executive Masters in Sports Organisation Management from Université catholique de Louvain. A Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design was earned from Virginia Commonwealth University.
