Mohammed Thabet Safi

Mohammed Thabet Safi serves as the Country Representative for the Qatar Red Crescent Society since June 2016, currently acting as the Head of Mission in Bangladesh. Mohammed's extensive experience includes managing humanitarian programs focusing on Rohingya refugees and local communities, employing strategic planning, program implementation, and robust Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning systems. Prior roles include overseeing humanitarian initiatives in Sudan, leading activities in the Philippines, and serving as a Projects Coordinator for the Arab Medical Union and the Islamic University of Gaza. Mohammed holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Professional Diploma in Management of Civil Society Organizations from The Islamic University of Gaza.
