George Karatzas

George Karatzas is a seasoned Senior Commissioning Engineer with extensive experience in offshore commissioning and decommissioning projects. Currently at QatarEnergy since March 2023, George previously held key roles at Saipem, BP, MW Kellogg, Bechtel, and Foster Wheeler Energy Ltd, where responsibilities included leading dynamic commissioning activities for high-profile projects such as the Tangguh LNG Expansion and the West Nile Delta Gas Plant. George's background in process engineering and commissioning leadership is supported by a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Surrey, demonstrating a strong technical foundation in the field.
