Orkun Akar

Orkun Akar has diverse work experience in various industries, starting with their most recent position as the Chief Financial Officer at QDelivery - Smart Delivery Platform since 2022. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2020, they worked as the Budget, Planning & Control Director at Mazars Denge. From 2016 to 2019, they served as a Manager at Stock & Digital Asset Management. Between 2015 and 2016, they held the role of Vice President | Investment Banking at ICBC Turkey Securities, where they worked on IPOs, project finance, and M&A. Before that, from 2014 to 2015, they were an Assistant Vice President in the Corporate Finance Department at Tekstil Securities. Orkun also worked as a Private Investment & Feasibility Consultant for two years, evaluating and analyzing various investment projects. Orkun gained experience as a Project Manager and Implementation Engineer at Teleperformance from 2011 to 2012, where they participated in global bidding processes. As an Investment Consultant & Feasibility Expert, they prepared a business plan for a boutique hotel investment in Beijing from 2009 to 2010. Additionally, they worked as a Business Developer & Production Planning Engineer at Dannysh Coral Company from 2009 to 2010, and as a Trade Consultant at Beijing Eurasia International Trade Company from 2006 to 2009.

Orkun Akar attended Arı Koleji from 1989 to 1998, where they completed their high school education with a focus on math and science. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering with a minor in Business at Virginia Tech from 1999 to 2003. Later, Orkun enrolled at Loyola University Chicago, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance & Marketing between 2004 and 2006. In August 2017, they obtained a certification in "Python for Financial Analysis and Algorithmic Trading" from Udemy.
