Leslie Schradin has extensive experience in the field of physics, math, and programming. From 2007 to 2016, they worked as a self-employed consultant, analyzing data from nuclear physics experiments and teaching graduate-level computational physics classes. During this time, they also worked as a physics and math subject matter expert for various organizations.

From 2012 to 2014, Leslie was an instructor at Tennessee Technological University, where they taught a new computational physics course and led introductory undergraduate physics courses.
