HV Battery Systems manager at QEV Technologies

Abel Aznar Santiago has worked for a number of companies since 2008. Abel began their career at Lunatus as a Técnico informático in 2008. Abel then moved to Deutsche Bank in 2009, where they also worked as a Técnico informático. In 2013, they joined FOC Fibra y Sistemas S.L. as a Project Manager fibra óptica. From 2015, Abel has been employed at QEV Technologies, where they have held the roles of Electronic Engineer, Electric Vehicle Project Engineer, Professor at Master en Motorsport & e-Racing, Hypercar platform Tech Lead, and HV Battery Systems Manager. In this latter role, Abel has been responsible for developing HV battery systems and architectures for new battery pack designs, as well as for managing technical aspects of Hispano Suiza Carmen project and High Voltage battery packs.

Abel Aznar Santiago has an education history that includes three degrees and one additional certification. From 2003 to 2005, they attended Salesians Sant Vicenç dels Horts, where they obtained a CFGM in Equipos e Instalaciones electrotécnicas. From 2006 to 2008, they attended Institut Escola de Treball and obtained a CFGS in Sistemas de Telecomunicación e Informáticos. From 2010 to 2015, they attended Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and obtained a degree in Telecommunications Systems with a focus in Telecommunications Engineering. Finally, in August 2022, they obtained a Technician in hybrid and electric vehicles certification from TÜV SÜD en España y Portugal.
