Alan McNaughton has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Alan started their career at Rydex Industries as the Director of Communication Products, overseeing the design, development, marketing, and deployment of communication products. Alan then moved to Global Thermoelectric Inc., where they held the positions of Sales and Marketing Manager, and later Manager of New Technology Applications. At Rydex Industries Inc., Alan served as the Vice President of Operations, responsible for worldwide product support and installations. Alan co-founded AutoBranch Technologies Inc. and served as the Executive VP, contributing to the invention and development of Dynamic Branding for ATMs. Alan also worked as a Marketing Manager at INETCO Systems Limited and as a Business Consultant for various organizations. Alan held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Aksys Networks Inc. and later became the President of Userful Corporation. Currently, they serve as the Director of Technology Operations at QHR Technologies.

Alan McNaughton has a diverse education history. In 1978, they began studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Alberta but did not complete the degree. In 1994 and 1995, they pursued continuing education courses in Canadian Business Law and Business Management at the University of Calgary. In 1998, they obtained a Certified Advanced Technology Manager (CATM) degree from the University of Calgary/Learnsoft. In 2007 and 2008, they participated in a Go-To-Market Program offered by Rocket Builders.
