Chris Blackman

Chris Blackman has extensive experience in service and technical support within the biomedical field, currently serving as Team Leader and Project Leader in Technical Service at QIAGEN since July 2014. Previously, Chris worked at Abbott Laboratories from August 2009 to July 2014 as a Field Service Representative, managing installations and technical service updates in hospital laboratories. Chris began a career at Abbott Diagnostics in 1990, where roles included Reliability/Failure Analysis Engineer and Field Service Representative, contributing to failure verification and providing hardware support. Earlier experience includes a position as Service Manager at Hutco/Minolta, overseeing a team of 30 technicians. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from LeTourneau University and an Associate's degree in Electrical, Electronic, and Communications Engineering Technology from the Video Technical Institute.
