Peter Urbitsch

Peter Urbitsch currently serves as Senior Director and Business Leader for Translational Markets at QIAGEN, a position held since April 2002. In this role, Peter is responsible for defining the portfolio and marketing strategy for key application segments within translational markets, collaborating with key opinion leaders, and initiating product development tailored to customer needs. Peter has held multiple senior positions at QIAGEN, including Senior Director of Strategic Marketing Management for the Life Science Portfolio and Director for Global Assay Technologies, where strategic objectives were established and global marketing plans were developed. Prior experience includes a role as Global Product Manager at Thermo Hybaid. Peter holds a Dr. rer. nat. from Universität Heidelberg and a Diplom in Biologie from Universität Würzburg.
