Sathiya Manivannan

Sathiya Manivannan, PhD, is a seasoned bioinformatics expert currently serving as a Senior Scientific Consultant at QIAGEN, where responsibilities include developing NGS pipelines for RNA and DNA data analysis, custom tertiary analysis integration, and robust single-cell analysis, including CITE-seq and Perturbseq. Prior experience includes work as a Bioinformatics Analyst at Genentech, developing multi-omic single-cell analysis pipelines, and serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Nationwide Children's Hospital, focusing on bioinformatics tools for variant prioritization. Additional postdoctoral research at Howard Hughes Medical Institute involved leading a collaborative project on human cDNAs, and previous research roles at The Ohio State University and Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology contributed to a strong foundation in molecular biology and computational methods. Sathiya holds a PhD in Molecular Cellular Developmental Biology from The Ohio State University and a B Tech in Biotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology.
