Amir Salami

System Engineer at QIC

Amir Salami has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Amir started their career in 2000 as a Technical Officer at RJ Net Computers and later worked as a System Technician at Spectrum House and Land from 2001 to 2003, where they focused on maintaining computer systems and troubleshooting issues. From 2006 to 2015, Salami worked as an ICT Service Engineer at Thiess Pty Ltd, where they played a key role in providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software queries, and managing helpdesk procedures. In 2015, they briefly worked as an IT Helpdesk Engineer - Level 3 at CPL (Cerebral Palsy League), where they resolved third-level queries. Salami joined QIC in 2016 and has held multiple roles, including IT Analyst, Service Desk Lead, and System Engineer. In these positions, they have been responsible for incident management, service request tracking, hardware upgrades, remote diagnosis of IT infrastructure, and escalating complex issues to technical teams. Throughout their career, Salami has exhibited strong communication, time management, and organizational skills, as well as a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Amir Salami completed their Bachelor of Information Technology in Information Systems at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained their Year 12 Certificate in Computer Science from Corinda State High School between 1995 and 1999. In terms of additional certifications, Amir Salami obtained the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) Cert Prep: 1 Cloud Concepts certification from LinkedIn in July 2023. Amir also completed the "Be the Manager People Won't Leave" certification in August 2022, the "Working with Upset Customers" certification in June 2022, and the "Bill George on Self Awareness, Authenticity, and Leadership" certification in August 2019, all from LinkedIn.
