Matt Mortimore has a diverse work experience in the financial industry, spanning over several companies. Matt started their career at QIC in 2002 as a Product Manager, where they ensured the competitiveness of the company's product range, analyzed profitability, monitored tax positions, and accounted for regulatory impacts. In 2007, they joined Legal and General Investment Management as a Senior Marketing Manager for a brief period before moving to Merrill Lynch as a Product Manager. At Merrill Lynch, they managed an open architecture UCITS III umbrella fund and handled operational, project management, relationship management, strategy, and regulatory and compliance responsibilities.

In 2009, Matt became a Senior Product Manager at HSBC Global Asset Management, where they had global responsibilities for Irish domiciled UCITS IV umbrella funds, including structured products and ETFs. Matt also managed a team and oversaw product development and product management.

Matt then joined Vanguard Asset Management in 2012 as a European Product Manager before returning to QIC in 2014. Upon their return, they held various roles, including Product Manager responsible for product development and management across alternative asset classes and Head of Product overseeing the product development pipeline and enhancements.

Currently, Matt is the Head of Capital Solutions - Development at QIC. In this role, they are responsible for product management and has extensive experience in developing new funds, changing existing funds, and closing funds in various domiciles. Matt has managed products in Real Estate, Private Equity, Infrastructure, Liquid Markets, and Multi-Asset through the full product lifecycle, from ideation to implementation. Additionally, they ensure ongoing monitoring of the product range to maintain its quality.

Matt Mortimore's education history includes a Bachelor of Business (Double Major) degree in Banking & Finance and Economics from QUT (Queensland University of Technology), which they obtained from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, they pursued a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance in Investment Management from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) between 2003 and 2005. Furthermore, they have obtained several certifications including "Extreme Productivity (Blinkist Summary)," "Getting Things Done," "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers," and "Negotiation Foundations" from LinkedIn. The certifications were obtained in November 2020 for the first three, and in September 2020 for the last one.
