Nicholas Stockdale has a strong background in finance and infrastructure debt investments. Nicholas currently serves as the Partner & Head of Europe - Infrastructure Debt at QIC since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Whitehelm Capital as the Deputy Head of Infrastructure Debt Investments from 2016 to 2021. Before that, Stockdale held several roles at Barclays Investment Bank, including Director of Global Finance & Risk Solutions and Head of Export & Structured Finance Team from 2009 to 2016. Nicholas also served as Director of Corporate Finance in the Telecoms, Media & Technology Sector Team from 2007 to 2009 and Associate Director of Corporate Finance in the Power, Utilities & Infrastructure Sector Team from 2000 to 2007. Stockdale started their career at Edison Mission Energy as a Senior Financial Analyst and later worked as an Assistant Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Audit department.
Nicholas Stockdale attended the University of Exeter from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Law (BSc Combined Honours). Nicholas continued their education at the same university from 1991 to 1992, earning a Bachelor's degree in Law (BA Honours). In 1997, Nicholas qualified as a Chartered Accountant by completing the ACA program at ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales). Nicholas also holds additional certifications, including being registered as an FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) and being a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, which they obtained in 2000 and 1997, respectively.
