Deshapriya Karunarathne

Deshapriya Karunarathne is a skilled professional with extensive experience in research and biotechnology. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at QIMR since October 2012, Deshapriya specializes in flow cytometry, microscopy, cell cultures, cell transfer, in vivo studies, and immunology. Additionally, as a co-founder of Fovero Therapeutics since March 2023, Deshapriya is involved in developing innovative immunotherapy solutions for patients resistant to immuno-oncology treatments. Earlier experience includes working as a Veterinary Surgeon at Vetscan Animal Hospital from January 2010 to October 2012. Deshapriya holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Peradeniya, earned between 2005 and 2010.
