James Hudson is a highly experienced professional in cardiac bioengineering and biotechnology, currently serving as Group Leader of the Cardiac Bioengineering Lab at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since April 2018 and as Co-Founder of Dynomics since January 2020. Previously, James held the position of Head of the Cardiac Regeneration Lab at The University of Queensland from 2013 to April 2018 and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Goettingen from February 2011 to December 2012, where protocols for producing heart cells from pluripotent stem cells were developed. James's research background includes significant contributions to the development of serum-free protocols for bio-engineered human heart tissue and extensive experience in creating protocols for cell differentiation at the University of Queensland. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Chemical and Biological Engineering from The University of Queensland.
