John Pearson

John Pearson is a seasoned expert in bioinformatics with extensive experience in genomic technologies and analytics. As Co-Founder of genomiQa since May 2017, John focuses on integrating genomics into clinical practice. Concurrently, John serves as the Manager of the Genome Informatics Group at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, overseeing bioinformatics analysis pipelines and tool development. Previously, John held the position of Senior Bioinformatics Manager at The University of Queensland's Institute for Molecular Bioscience and led the Bioinformatics Research Unit at TGen. Early career experience includes key roles at the National Institutes of Health (NHGRI). John holds multiple academic qualifications from The University of Queensland and QUT, including a B.Sc. Hons in Physiology and Pharmacology and a Graduate Certificate in Engineering and Technology Management.
