Robert McLachlan

Robert McLachlan is an experienced professional in business development and commercialization within the medical research sector, currently serving as the General Manager of Business Development at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since February 2016. Prior to this role, Robert held positions as Head of Business Development and Business Development Executive at the same institution. Additional experience includes advisory board membership at UQ Young Alumni Advisory Board and various roles at UniQuest, including Associate Director of Commercial Engagement in Health. Robert's academic qualifications include a PhD in Science from The University of Queensland, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from Kaplan Professional, and a Masters of Business in Applied Finance from QUT. Further educational achievements consist of a Graduate Certificate in Commercialisation and a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours, both from The University of Queensland, along with foundational studies at Brisbane Grammar School. In May 2022, Robert completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
