Senior Research Assistant at QIMR Berghofer

Sneha Nair is a Senior Research Assistant at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since January 2020, specializing in experiments to identify and characterize novel long noncoding RNAs related to breast, ovarian, and skin cancer development. Nair possesses extensive experience in a variety of molecular techniques, including cell culture, cloning, DNA/RNA preparation, protein extraction, western blotting, real-time PCR, lentiviral infection, and CRISPR-based editing. Previously, Nair served as a Research Assistant and a Researcher at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, contributing to breast cancer research projects and identifying target genes associated with breast cancer risk. Nair also worked at the Translational Research Institute Australia, developing a 3D mammary organoid model. Nair holds a Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology from The University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science from the University of Bedfordshire.
