Matthew Harris

Matthew Harris is an experienced professional in the fields of space and security studies, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where teachings include courses on the satellite communications industry and space infrastructure. Harris holds leadership positions at QinetiQ US as Lead of the Space Focus Area and at Beyond Earth Institute as Director of Strategy and Governance. Previous roles include leadership and consulting positions at Avantus Federal and the National Institute for Public Policy, as well as a research assistant role at the National Defense University. Harris earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from Ohio Wesleyan University and holds two Master’s Degrees, one in Security Studies from Kansas State University and another in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh.
