Fran Murphy

Fran Murphy is a senior executive in the defence and security sector, currently serving as Senior Director of Strategy and Business Development for Australia Defence and Security Solutions at KBR, Inc. since October 2023 and as Chief Strategy Officer at QinetiQ since April 2023. Previously, Fran held the role of General Manager Strategy at QinetiQ Australia from January 2021 to April 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing the growth of Australian expertise within the subsidiary. Prior experience includes Director of Strategic Development at Serco Asia Pacific and Director of Strategy and Business Development at BAE Systems Australia, among other roles within BAE Systems and Tenix Defence. Fran holds a Delta in Business Leadership from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, obtained between 2013 and 2014.
