Gregory Hughes is a Senior Protein Scientist at Qkine since May 2023, with a rich background in protein biochemistry and organic synthesis. Previously, Gregory served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at King's College London (February 2021 - May 2023), focusing on developing chemical probes for post-translational modifications in molecular aging. Prior to this, Gregory worked at the University of East Anglia (October 2015 - February 2021) as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, where the emphasis was on developing ubiquitin ligase ligands for pharmaceutical collaboration, building on research from a PhD in Chemistry at the same institution (October 2015 - September 2019). Gregory also has industrial experience from an iCASE placement at Charnwood Molecular, and earlier roles included laboratory technician work at TJ/H2b Analytical Services, Inc., and a summer placement at AWE. Academic qualifications include a master's degree in Chemistry with Molecular Medicine from the University of Hull (2011 - 2015) and a foundational education at Calday Grange Grammar School.
