Timothy Wood

Timothy Wood is a highly experienced scientist specializing in protein engineering and developmental biology. Currently a senior scientist in protein engineering at Abzena since May 2022, Timothy also serves as a protein scientist at AVACTA Life Sciences Limited and is a postdoctoral research associate at the University of East Anglia, where research focuses on cardiac progenitor cells and their signaling pathways. Previous roles include postdoctoral positions at the University of Cambridge and Brown University, with significant achievements in developmental chicken embryology and proteomic characterization of transport granules. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Molecular and Developmental Biology from the University of Edinburgh, an MSc in Medical Biotechnology from Newcastle University, and a BSc in Molecular Biology from the University of Edinburgh.
